Heswall Probus Club

What is Probus?

Probus is an association of autonomous clubs for retired people, Regular opportunities are offered for members to meet others with similar interests, make new friends, and to expand their interests. "Probus" is short for "professional and business", and most members come from such backgrounds.

Heswall Probus Club is a welcoming and friendly Club, with around 100 members who live mainly in Wirral and the surrounding areas. Our members come from a diverse range of professional and business backgrounds. They include academics, architects, bankers, dentists, lawyers and surveyors. Many also come from the armed forces; the construction, chemical and printing industries; the education sector; engineering; the police; and public services.

We have monthly lunches and weekly coffee mornings for members, and regular social outings are arranged for members and partners. Please see the Social Events page. There is also a Probus Partners group which meets monthly for coffee or lunch.

For our more active members, we have walking, rambling, cycling, bowls and snooker groups. Please follow the individual links to the various group activity pages or visit the Activities page. We also have a Book Club, which meets monthly.
